Rainforest Utopia 1

"We were walking through the forest one night when a snake fell with a painful smack on the path inches from us. Boyfriend, dog and I all jumped. The snake got a fright too, seeing three enormous creatures looming above it, and quickly fled into the bushes.

It left me wondering how could and why would a snake fall from a tree. A quick Internet search later and I discovered flying snakes (paradise snakes) are common in Singapore. They parachute from tree to tree and sometimes, as with our friend, land on the ground.

In this piece I’ve rescued that snake and placed him back in his element, gliding successfully from tree branch to tree branch."
