"When the wind blows in before a storm you get a sense of how connected an ecosystem really is.
The wind shakes a branch, a bird's nest falls, an egg rolls out and a monkey snatches it up. The wind blows harder and the branch falls on the monkey. Now the ants march in to clean the monkey up. The bird parents fly back to discover disaster, and opportunity. The nest is gone, but the ants are a great energy-booster so they can start building a new nest.
In this piece I wanted to capture a connected moment. A gust of wind causes three birds to take flight from a branch and scatter flowers, leaves and seeds in their wake."
