"The first time I saw sheep I thought they were hilarious. It was while I was holidaying in the English countryside one summer. I was surprised by how curious they were. They crowded towards the fence jostling each other to get a better look at us. And the noise they made... I'm still laughing.

The last time I saw sheep was on the Mongolian steppe. The Mongols herd their sheep and woolly goats skilfully on horseback just as they did a thousand years ago.

The herd trickle over the low hills in grazing groups which scatter over the valley. A lone shepherd on horseback drives them from behind at a leisurely pace towards the next hill. A couple of hours go peacefully by before the last of the herd disappears into the next valley."
